1. About Us
Table Goes Boom is a trading name of Fletcher Digital Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC395966).
- Address: Suite 8, 16 Melville Street, Falkirk, FK1 1HZ
- Email: [email protected]
These terms apply to all orders placed on tablegoesboom.com. Please read them alongside our Shipping and Returns policy and our Privacy Policy. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force when you place your order is the one that applies to it.
Your statutory rights are not affected. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
2. Your Order
- Placing an order: when you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation email.
- Pricing errors: if a technical error results in an incorrect price at checkout (including in our instant-quote tools), we may cancel the order and give you a full refund. We’ll always contact you to let you know.
- Our right to decline: we may decline or cancel an order in the situations set out in our Shipping and Returns policy (for example, if a supplied file is unprintable or breaches our content policies). If we do, you’ll receive a full refund.
3. Prices and Payment
- All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP).
- Fletcher Digital Ltd is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged on our prices.
- Shipping is free on all UK orders and is included in the price shown.
- Payment is taken at the time of order by card (processed securely by Stripe) or PayPal.
4. Manufacturing and Quality
Most of our items are 3D printed to order once you place your order.
- Surface quality: 3D printing (FDM/SLA) produces visible layer lines and minor surface imperfections. These are a normal part of the process and are not considered defects. Major defects, such as severe warping, layer separation or missing sections, are covered by our Shipping and Returns policy.
- Material suitability: we provide information on material properties (e.g. PLA, PETG, resin), but you are responsible for checking that the material is suitable for your intended use.
- Licensed designs: the designs in our catalogue are printed under commercial licences purchased from their creators.
5. Accuracy and Tolerances
3D printing is a high-precision process, but thermal expansion and material shrinkage do occur.
- We target a standard tolerance of ±0.5mm. Small gaps may be visible between parts; these can be filled with putty and sanded as part of the normal preparation and painting of the item.
- If your project needs press-fit or engineering-grade precision, please contact us for a custom quote before ordering.
6. Custom Prints, File Uploads and Intellectual Property
If you upload a 3D model (STL, OBJ, etc.) for us to print:
- Ownership: you confirm that you own the rights to the file or have a valid licence to have it printed.
- Responsibility: to the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for any claims of copyright, trademark or patent infringement arising from files you provide.
- Refusal of service: we may refuse any order containing content that is illegal, promotes violence or breaches our safety policies (e.g. functional weapons).
7. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
Your cancellation and return rights are set out in full in our Shipping and Returns policy. In summary:
- Standard catalogue items: you have 14 days from delivery to cancel and return unused, unassembled and unpainted items for a refund.
- Personalised and bespoke items: items made to your specifications or clearly personalised (including Basemaker custom nameplates and bases, prints from your own files, and items with your chosen insignia or colours) are exempt from the 14-day cancellation right and cannot be returned for change of mind.
- Faulty or damaged items: we will re-print, replace or refund any item that arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, whether it is a standard or personalised item.
8. Shipping and Lead Times
- Estimated dates: lead times shown on our site are estimates, not guarantees. We’ll let you know promptly about any delays caused by machine maintenance or material shortages.
- Damaged in transit: if an item arrives broken, please let us know as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours of delivery, with photos of the item and packaging, so we can arrange a replacement quickly.
9. Safety Warning and Age Restrictions
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
- Age restriction: our products are intended for adult hobbyists and collectors. They are not toys and are not suitable for children under the age of 15.
- Choking hazard: 3D printed items, even those that appear solid, can break under stress or if dropped. This can create small, sharp plastic fragments that pose a choking hazard or risk of cuts and splinters.
- Supervision: our products should never be left unattended with children or pets.
- Intended use: unless explicitly stated otherwise, our prints are for decorative, display or tabletop gaming use only. They have not been tested to the safety standards required for children’s toys (such as EN71).
- Misuse: we are not responsible for injury or damage caused by misuse of our products or by failing to follow these safety guidelines. This does not limit our liability where we have been negligent (see section 10).
10. Our Liability to You
- We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
- We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable when the contract was made.
- Our products are for domestic and private use. We are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
- Our 3D prints are intended for decorative and hobby purposes and have not been certified for safety-critical applications unless we have stated otherwise in writing.
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for breach of your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. The Table Goes Boom Community Platform
When you place an order, you may be given access to our private community forum. It is designed to promote local tabletop gaming and a positive environment for hobbyists.
- Community conduct: we operate a zero-tolerance policy on harassment, bullying, hate speech and offensive content. You agree to treat all community members with respect.
- Moderation and content: Table Goes Boom may moderate, edit or remove any post, comment or media uploaded to the platform at our discretion.
- Right to refuse access: we may refuse access to the platform or permanently ban any user, including for breaching our community guidelines, disruptive behaviour that affects other members’ enjoyment, or using the platform for unauthorised advertising or spam.
- Removal of access: community access is a complimentary feature and does not form part of any product you purchase. If you are banned for misconduct, this does not entitle you to a refund on previous orders.
- Privacy: while we work to keep the community secure, you are responsible for the information you choose to share in the forum. Please don’t share sensitive personal information.
11.1 In-Person Meetups and User Safety
Members may use the platform to organise local tabletop gaming meetups and events. Our favourite local venue is The Arena.
- Your own risk: meetups arranged between members through the platform are attended at your own risk. Table Goes Boom does not vet members, verify identities or supervise these gatherings.
- Liability: Table Goes Boom is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury or dispute arising from meetups organised between members, except where caused by our own negligence.
- Safety recommendation: we strongly encourage members to meet in public, well-lit venues (such as local gaming cafés or community centres) when meeting other members for the first time.
12. Complaints
If you’re unhappy with anything, please contact us at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to put it right. We aim to respond within 2 working days.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any disputes will be dealt with by the Scottish courts. If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
